Using a compass, place the point at A and draw an arc above and below the line segment AB.
Without changing the compass width, place the point at B and draw another arc that intersects the arcs drawn in step 1.
Label the intersection points of the arcs as D and E.
Draw a straight line through points D and E. This line is the perpendicular bisector of AB.
