Tearfund is an evangelical organisation dedicated to ending global hunger and caring for refugees. They engage young people from congregations to assist with overseas projects. While providing various forms of aid, Tearfund places a significant emphasis on addressing spiritual needs, having established over 67,000 churches worldwide.
In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus instructs his disciples to spread his teachings globally and convert people to Christianity:
