High Surface Tension:
Water exhibits high surface tension, which means it tends to "stick together" at its surface.
This property allows certain insects, like water striders, to walk on water due to the cohesive forces at the surface.
Relatively High Viscosity:
Viscosity refers to a liquid's resistance to flow.
Water has a relatively high viscosity, which means it flows more slowly compared to less viscous liquids like alcohol or gasoline.
Solubility Characteristics:
All ionic lattices and polar covalent molecules are soluble in water and other polar solvents.
