The National Living Wage in the UK

Shockingly, one in seven referrals to Trussell Trust foodbanks is for employed individuals, predominantly part-time workers.

• Critics argue that the National Living Wage is insufficient. The Living Wage Foundation contends that the genuine Living Wage, calculated independently based on the cost of living, should be £10.90 across the UK and £11.95 for workers in London.
