Care Labels

Care labels use symbols to show how to care for clothes and textiles.

Washing

Symbols for Washing:

• 🧺 95°C: Very hot wash – cotton, linen (e.g., white bed linen).
• 🧺 60°C: Hot wash – cotton, linen without special finishes.
• 🧺 40°C: Warm wash – wool blends, synthetics.
• 🧺 30°C: Cool wash – delicate fabrics.
• 🧺 Hand Wash: For fragile items (e.g., silk, wool).
• 🧺 Do Not Wash: Dry clean only (e.g., leather, suede).

Drying

• Line dry: Hang clothes outdoors or indoors.
• Tumble dry: Machine dry – check heat settings.
• Do not tumble dry: Air dry only.

Ironing

• Cool iron: Delicate fabrics like silk.
• Warm iron: Wool blends.
• Hot iron: Cotton, linen.
• Do not iron: For fabrics that may melt or lose shape.

Bleaching

• Bleach allowed: Chlorine-based bleach can be used.
• Do not bleach: Use non-bleach detergents.

Dry-Cleaning

• Dry-clean only: Professional cleaning required.
• Do not dry clean: Use home care methods only.
