Téama (Leaving Cert Irish): Flashcards

D'fhulaing gnáthdhaoine agus gnáthchlainne. Is é an foréigean fánach a tharla sa tuaisceart an teama sa scéal seo, dar liom. (Ordinary people and ordinary families suffered. The futile violence that happened in the north is the theme in this story, according to me.)

Is rud náireach agus scanrúil é don léitheoir, an dúnmharú gan cúis. (It is terrifying for the reader—the murder without reason.)

Tríd an scéil, buailtear le gnáthdaoine ag déanamh gnáthrudaí, mar shampla: daoine ag ól sa bhéar, tuistí ag streachailt le páistí sa bhaile, freastalaí ag déaláil le custaiméirí. (Throughout the story, one meets ordinary people doing ordinary things, e.g., people drinking in the bar, parents struggling with children at home, waiters dealing with customers.)
