Meadaracht

• Saorvéarsaíocht atá le feiscint sa dán seo.
  • Free verse can be seen in this poem.
• Tá uaim ann, mar shampla, 'ag caitheamh / cliabh', agus 'ór-mhuir mhall'.
  • There is alliteration, for example 'ag caitheamh / cliabh', and 'ór-mhuir mhall'.

• Freisin, tá rithim mhall sa dán. Feicimid gutaí fada ó thús go deireadh an dáin, mar shampla - 'ag glanadh cré', 'de ghimseán spáide.'
  • Also, there is a slow rhythm in the poem. We see long vowels from the beginning to the end of the poem, for example- 'ag glanadh cré', 'de ghimseán spáide.'

• Dar liom, cuireann na gutaí fada béim ar an atmaisféar ciúin, síochánta a bhí ar an oileán.
  • According to me, the long vowels put emphasis on the quiet, peaceful atmosphere that was on the island.
• Feicimid an athrá sa dán.
  • We see repetition in the poem.

• Críochnaíonn gach véarsa leis na focail chéanna; 'An tEarrach Thiar'.

  • Every verse finishes with the same words; 'An tEarrach Thiar'

• I mo thuairim, cuireann sé béim ar an ngrá a bhí ag an bhfile don oileán.

  • In my opinion, this puts emphasis on the love that the poet had for the island.
