I believe that our dance classes do not adequately develop good levels of cardiovascular endurance. We have two dance classes per week, one of which is theoretical, which limits our practical training. On weeks when we focus on theory, we miss out on vital cardio work. Even with the practical sessions, the intensity is often not high enough to significantly improve cardiovascular fitness. Additionally, interruptions due to exams further limit our training time. Therefore, while the classes have some components of cardio work, they lack the consistency to foster good cardiovascular health.
