In a hot environment, the body reduces its core temperature through a process called vasodilation. This is where blood vessels, particularly those near the surface of the skin, widen to increase blood flow. This allows heat to be dissipated, helping to cool the body.

In contrast, shivering and goosebumps are responses associated with cold environments, meant to generate heat. Pale appearance might indicate a different physiological response, but it is not a typical reaction to heat.
