Answer
The eye functions by allowing light to enter through the cornea, which begins the focusing process. Light then passes through the pupil, with the iris controlling its size to adjust the amount of light entering. The lens further focuses the light onto the retina at the back of the eye. The retina contains photoreceptor cells, called rods and cones, which convert the light into electrical signals. These signals are then transmitted via the optic nerve to the brain, which processes them into visual images. Additionally, the eye has mechanisms for accommodation, allowing us to focus on objects at varying distances.
