As urban centres expand, the Central Business District (CBD) often sees an increase in commercial activities. This is due to the higher demand for business space as the population increases. In contrast, the Residential Zone tends to shift outward from the urban core. As urban areas grow, older residential areas may be redeveloped for commercial use or become less desirable, leading to a transformation in demographics and property types. Newer residential developments usually emerge on the outskirts, offering more spacious living conditions and amenities that cater to families seeking to escape the congestion of the city centre.
