Boyle's Law states that for a fixed mass of an ideal gas at constant temperature, the pressure (P) of the gas multiplied by its volume (V) is a constant. This can be mathematically expressed as:

where k is a constant for a given amount of gas at a specific temperature. It can also be expressed in the inverse relationship of pressure and volume:

This means that if the volume increases, the pressure decreases, provided the temperature remains the same, and vice versa.
