Connections with Christianity

Explain how a connection exists between Judaism and Christianity.

• Jesus was a Jew himself and he founded the religion of Christianity.
• The Old Testament in the Bible consists of the Jewish scriptures and the history of the Jewish people before the birth of Jesus Christ.
• The moral code for both religions is the same, the 10 Commandments which can be found in the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) and the Old Testament.
• Both religions are monotheistic and believe in one God only.
• Both religions were founded in the country of Israel, known as Palestine back then.
• Both believe in angels as well as demons.
