Rectangular hyperbola

Set numerator equal to zero

Substitute $x = 0$

Set denominator equal to zero

Make $x$ subject, set its denominator to zero

Lines the curve approaches but never touches

Sketch both functions and find intersections

Function is undefined at that value

Use large values like $x = 1000$ or $x = -1000$
