Hormone Supplements

• The inability to produce insulin leads to diabetes. Diabetes can be managed with regular insulin injections.
• Insulin cannot be taken in tablet form because it is a protein and would be broken down by the digestive system.

Anabolic Steroids

• Anabolic steroids mimic the action of testosterone, helping to build muscle mass and reduce fat.
• They are used illegally in sports to enhance performance and are sometimes given to animals to increase the production of lean meat.
