📚 Revision Notes
What is Photosynthesis?
- Photosynthesis is the process plants use to make their own food using sunlight.
- It happens in the leaves, where plants take in sunlight, carbon dioxide (from the air), and water (from the soil).
- Using sunlight, they convert these into glucose (a type of sugar) and oxygen.
- Photosynthesis is important because
- It provides food for plants.
- It produces oxygen, which animals and humans need to breathe.
