Exam Tip: In French, when stating a profession you'd like to pursue, remember to omit the indefinite article (un,une) before the job title if you're using the verb devenir ("to become"). For example, say "Je voudrais devenir médecin" instead of "Je voudrais devenir un médecin".
Pourquoi Choisir Ce Métier (Why Choose This Job)
To say why you would like a particular job:
- C'est un très bon métier. (It's a very good profession.)
- C'est très bien payé. Le salaire est excellent / assez élevé. (It's very well paid. The salary is excellent / quite high.)
- On est très bien rémunéré. Je gagnerais bien ma vie. (One is very well paid. I would earn a good living.)

Grammar Point: Using "Avoir l'intention de" and "Compter"

Exam Tip: Structured Responses: Always structure your responses logically. Start by stating your ambition, then explain why and how you plan to achieve it. For example:
Je veux devenir avocat parce que je suis passionné par le droit et j'aime représenter et défendre les intérêts des gens. Je prévois de suivre des études universitaires et de faire un stage dans un cabinet juridique.
