A term

Find any term without drawing all previous patterns

$1, 4, 9, 16, 25$

$T_n = n^2$

$1, 3, 5, 7, 9$

$T_n = 2n - 1$

Consecutive odd numbers

$T_n = 3n + 1$

3 (one side is shared)

$T_n = 5n + 1$

$T_n = an + b$
