Pattern of numbers following a specific rule

An individual number in a sequence

Each term increases by 2

Each term is a perfect square ($1^2, 2^2, 3^2$...)

Numbers increasing/decreasing by same amount each time

Find differences, identify rule, apply to missing terms

Reverse both operations and their order

Find any term without calculating all previous terms

Substitute term number (n) into formula and calculate

7, 5, 3, 1

11, 14, 19, 26

49, 46, 41, 34

Each term = sum of two previous terms
