What does a cumulative frequency diagram show?

Shows the running total of frequencies up to each point.

What are common questions in cumulative frequency problems?

Finding above/below values, ranges, comparisons.

How to get 'more than X' from the curve?

Total - cumfreq at X

Why are values from cumulative curves estimates?

Curve is boundary; actual values lie on or below it

Steps to read cumfreq at value X from curve?

Vertical to curve, horizontal to axis, read cumfreq

Total 150; cf at 70 = 40. Find '≤70' and '>70' counts.

≤70: 40; >70: 110

Convert 25% of 120 to a cumulative frequency

25% of 120 = 30; read c.f.=30 then down to axis
