What are the five key pieces of information shown in a box plot?

Minimum, maximum, lower quartile, upper quartile, and median.

What does the interquartile range (IQR) represent?

The middle 50% of a dataset, Q₃ - Q₁.

How do you find the median in an ordered dataset?

Locate the middle value; if even, average the two middle values.

Where do the lower and upper quartiles (Q₁ & Q₃) divide the data?

Q₁ marks 25% and Q₃ marks 75% of the data.

What is the purpose of a box plot in data analysis?

To visually compare datasets and show data spread.

25% of data is ≤140; 25% is ≥220, IQR=80.
