Guidelines for Embroidery:
- Use needles suited for embroidery thread.
- Work stitches securely with a backstitch at the start and end.
- Keep thread neat by knotting at the back.
- Follow design lines carefully to create neat and even patterns.
Common Embroidery Stitches:
Stem Stitch:
- Outlines shapes and gives a rope-like effect.
Chain or Split Stitch:
- Fills in large areas and creates loops.
Satin Stitch:
- Fills small areas with smooth, solid stitches.
Long and Short Stitch:
- Adds shading effects for larger designs.
Blanket Stitch:
- Finishes fabric edges to prevent fraying.
