An Scéal
Pictiúr 1: Oíche Speisialta
Tráthnóna Sathairn, téann ceathrar cairde – Aoife, Ciarán, Niamh agus Tomás – amach chun dinnéir i mbialann Iodálach darb ainm “Pasta Blasta”.
Tá siad ag ceiliúradh breithlá Aoife agus tá atmaisféar bríomhar sa bhialann.
Cuireann an freastalaí fáilte chroíúil rompu agus tugann sé chuig bord iad atá suite in aice leis an bhfuinneog mhór.
On Saturday evening, four friends – Aoife, Ciarán, Niamh and Tomás – go out for dinner in an Italian restaurant called “Pasta Blasta”.
They are celebrating Aoife’s birthday and there is a lively atmosphere in the restaurant.
The waiter warmly welcomes them and brings them to a table beside a large window.
Pictiúr 2: An Fhionnachtain
Ag féachaint ar an mbiachlár dóibh, tá siad ag plé na roghanna éagsúla atá ar fáil.
Tá grianghraif den Iodáil ar na ballaí agus tá pasta agus píotsa ar phraghas speisialta don deireadh seachtaine.
Go tobann, tugann Ciarán faoi deara fón póca ar an urlár in aice leis an gcathaoir.
While looking at the menu, they are discussing the various options available.
There are photographs of Italy on the walls and pasta and pizza are on special offer for the weekend.
Suddenly, Ciarán notices a mobile phone on the floor beside the chair.
Pictiúr 3: An Rud Ceart
Piocann Ciarán suas an fón agus téann sé chuig an bhfreastalaí chun é a thabhairt dó.
Míníonn sé go raibh an fón fágtha ar an urlár agus gur dócha go bhfuil duine éigin á lorg anois.
Gabhann an freastalaí buíochas leis as a mhacántacht agus cuireann sé an fón in áit shábháilte.
Ciarán picks up the phone and goes to the waiter to hand it to him.
He explains that the phone was left on the floor and that someone is probably looking for it now.
The waiter thanks him for his honesty and places the phone somewhere safe.
Pictiúr 4: An Úinéir Buartha
Idir an dá linn, feictear fear óg amuigh ar an tsráid agus é an-bhuartha faoina fhón póca.
Níl a fhios aige cá bhfág sé é agus tá sé cráite amach ’s amach.
Socraíonn sé filleadh ar an mbialann chun fiosrú an bhfuil an fón ann.
Meanwhile, a young man is seen outside and he is very worried about his mobile phone.
He does not know where he left it and he is extremely distressed.
He decides to return to the restaurant to check if the phone is there.
Pictiúr 5: Filleann an Fón
Tagann úinéir an fhóin isteach sa bhialann agus fiafraíonn sé an bhfuarthas fón póca.
Tugann an freastalaí an fón ar ais dó agus tá an t-ádh dearg air.
Gabhann sé buíochas ó chroí le Ciarán agus deir sé go raibh sé fíor-bhuartha mar go bhfuil an fón riachtanach dá chuid oibre.
The phone’s owner enters the restaurant and asks if a mobile phone was found.
The waiter returns the phone to him and he is extremely lucky.
He sincerely thanks Ciarán and says he was very worried because the phone is essential for his work.
Pictiúr 6: Iontas Milis
Chun buíochas a léiriú, tugann an fear fiche euro don fhreastalaí le híoc as milseog don cheathrar.
Tagann an freastalaí chuig an mbord le ceithre bhabhla uachtar reoite.
Tá iontas agus ríméad ar na cairde agus baineann siad sult as an gcuid eile den oíche.
To show his gratitude, the man gives twenty euro to the waiter to pay for dessert for the four friends.
The waiter arrives at the table with four bowls of ice cream.
The friends are surprised and delighted and they enjoy the rest of the evening.
