What do trig functions model?

Periodic behaviour/phenomena

General form of trig model

y(t)=Asin(Bt+C)+Dy(t) = A \sin(Bt + C) + D or cosine equivalent

Parameter AA in trig model

Amplitude (max deviation from mean position)

Period TT in terms of BB
