Expand $(a + b)^n$ where $n$ is a positive integer

$n + 1$ terms

$Pa^r b^s$ where $P$ is coefficient

$r + s = n$ for every term

Coefficients for binomial expansions

Each number = sum of two numbers directly above it

Always 1

1, 2, 1

1, 3, 3, 1

1, 4, 6, 4, 1

Check sum of powers in each term equals $n$

Be careful with alternating positive and negative signs
