Conjugation definition

Verbs change endings for each person (ich, du, er/sie/es, etc.)

How to find the stem

Remove -en ending from infinitive

Regular verb ending for 'ich'

-e

Regular verb ending for 'du'

-st

Regular verb ending for 'er/sie/es'

-t

Which persons use the infinitive form?

wir and sie (they)

When to add extra 'e' before ending?

Stem ends in -t, -d, -chn, -dn, -fn, -gn, -tm (du, er/sie/es, ihr)
