Tá brón ciúin le brath nuair a lagnaíonn an cnag agus cuirtear síos an fón – mothaíonn an file fágtha ina haonar.	There is quiet sadness when "the knocking fades" and "the phone is put down" – the poet feels left alone.
Mothaítear deireadh tobann – ní dhéantar dráma, ach tá an mothúchán mór: tost agus laghdú mall.	A sudden ending is felt – there's no drama, but the emotion is strong: silence and slow fading.
Tagann mothúchán neamhshonraithe chun cinn – níl a fhios againn go cruinn céard atá imithe, ach braithimid an caillteanas.	A vague emotion arises – we don't know exactly what is lost, but we feel the absence.

Leanann an tost mothúchánach – ní chloistear aon fhocal eile. Tá teannas agus náire sa tost sin.	The emotional silence continues – "no other word is heard." There is tension and shame in that silence.
Mothaítear uaigneas – níl aon chumarsáid níos mó ann, agus tá an file ag féachaint ar rud éigin a bhíodh beo agus atá imithe.	A sense of loneliness is felt – there's no longer any communication, and the poet watches something that was once alive fade away.
Cruthaíonn na híomhánna den bhéal "folamh gan urlabhra" mothúchán cumhachtach de staonadh mothúchánach.	The image of the mouth "empty without speech" creates a powerful emotion of emotional restraint.

Tá na mothúcháin sa dán íostach, ciúin agus neamhbhréagnaithe – níl gá le radhairc mhóra nó le caint mhothúchánach.	The emotions in the poem are minimalist, quiet and undeniable – there's no need for drama or emotional speech.
Úsáideann an file easpa gnímh chun mothúcháin a chur in iúl – níl aon caoineadh nó fearg, ach tá an briseadh croí ann fós.	The poet uses lack of action to express emotion – there is no crying or anger, but heartbreak is still present.
Is mothúcháin iad a bhaineann le gach duine – caillteanas gan freagra, deireadh gan míniú, uaigneas ciúin.	These are universal emotions – loss without answers, endings without explanation, quiet loneliness.
