Quick way to multiply/divide by powers of 2

Multiplies the number by 2

Multiply by $2^n$

Divides the number by 2

Divide by $2^n$

$2^1 = 2$

$2^2 = 4$

$2^1 = 2$

$2^2 = 4$

Lose remainders when digits fall off the right end
