Technique to find intersection lines when solids penetrate, works best with plane surfaces

Plane surfaces (flat faces)

Straight lines (plane surfaces always create straight intersections)

No - won't work well, leads to inaccurate results

Start point, bend points, finish point

Points where intersection line changes direction (often at edges/corners)

Front elevation, end elevation, plan view

Draw the given views (plan and elevation)

Identify bend points (where intersection changes direction)

Plan view - shows clearest outline of intersection
