Pattern where each term differs by same constant amount

Constant amount between consecutive terms

AP (arithmetic progression)

$T_n = a + (n-1)d$

First term

Common difference

All consecutive differences must be equal

$T_n - T_{n-1}$

$T_n - T_{n-1} = d$ for all $n \geq 2$

AP is discrete version (domain = positive integers)
