One quantity depends on another, both change at same rate

Both quantities change in same direction (increase or decrease)

Constant - stays the same

Straight line passing through the origin (0,0)

The rate at which quantities change together (multiplier)

$y = kx$

$k = \frac{y}{x}$

$y$ (quantity that depends on the other)

When one quantity is zero, the other must also be zero
