Isolate the variable to get $x =$ number

Same to both sides method

Multiply out all brackets first

Multiply every term by the denominator

$x$-terms on one side, numbers on other side

Divide both sides by coefficient of $x$

Take square root of both sides

Two solutions: positive and negative ($pm$)

Substitute it back into the original equation

$Ax = B$
