Range of possible actual values for a measurement

$\pm 0.5$ units (half a unit bigger or smaller)

$+1$ unit bigger, no smaller

$\geq$ (greater than or equal to)

$<$ (strictly less than)

Use upper bounds for both values

Use lower bounds for both values

Upper bound $\div$ lower bound

Lower bound $\div$ upper bound

Max of $a$ + max of $b$
