Corresponding angles must be equal

Corresponding sides must be proportional

$k = \frac{\text{2nd shape}}{\text{1st shape}}$

Scaling up (making shape larger)

Scaling down (making shape smaller)

$k^2$ (k squared)

Set up proportion equation using corresponding sides

$5^2 = 25$

$2:1$ (confirms proportional sides)
