An outlier is an extreme value that differs significantly.
Use Q1−1.5imesIQRQ_1 - 1.5 imes IQRQ1−1.5imesIQR and Q3+1.5imesIQRQ_3 + 1.5 imes IQRQ3+1.5imesIQR.
IQR = 9−3=69 - 3 = 69−3=6.
20 is an outlier; Q1=1Q_1=1Q1=1, Q3=3Q_3=3Q3=3, IQR=2.
Outliers appear as crosses (×) beyond the whiskers.
Lower: 14.4, Upper: 77.6.
Check if 95 > mean + 2*SD; if yes, it's an outlier.
Use it for smaller data sets without distribution assumptions.
Values > 3 SDs from the mean are outliers.
