Homogenisation is the process of breaking down fat particles in milk to evenly distribute them and prevent separation, creating a smooth texture.
- Fortified
- Extra nutrients: calcium, B vitamins (including folic acid), vitamins D and E
- Suitable for everyone
- Calcium: Builds strong bones and teeth.
- B Vitamins (including folic acid): Help release energy from food and support red blood cell production.
- Vitamin D: Helps the body absorb calcium for healthy bones.
- Vitamin E: Protects cells from damage.
Fortified foods have had extra nutrients added to them to improve their nutritional value. This is done to replace nutrients lost during processing or to enhance the food's health benefits.
