Independent events definition

Events where one outcome doesn't affect the probability of the other

Multiplication rule for independent events

P(A and B)=P(A)×P(B)P(A \text{ and } B) = P(A) \times P(B)

P(blue then green) if P(blue)=78\frac{7}{8}, P(green)=18\frac{1}{8}

78×18=764\frac{7}{8} \times \frac{1}{8} = \frac{7}{64}

P(blue twice) if P(blue)=78\frac{7}{8}

78×78=4964\frac{7}{8} \times \frac{7}{8} = \frac{49}{64}
