What is frequency density in histograms?

It's height adjusted for unequal class widths.

How do you calculate class width?

Subtract lower boundary from upper boundary.

What is the formula for frequency density?

Frequency density = frequency ÷ class width.

Calculate frequency density for 10 in width 5.

Frequency density = 10 ÷ 5 = 2.

Why use frequency density instead of frequency?

To accurately represent frequency with unequal widths.

What does the area of a histogram bar represent?

The actual frequency of the data points.

What common mistake involves class widths?

Forgetting to subtract boundaries correctly.

What should the vertical axis be labeled as?

Label it 'Frequency density'.

If class width is 10 and frequency is 30, find density.

Frequency density = 30 ÷ 10 = 3.

What is the effect of using frequency on the y-axis?

It can distort the visual representation of data.
