3D shape with same cross-section throughout

$\text{Area of cross-section} \times \text{Length}$

Space a 3D shape takes up (cubic units)

Total area of all faces (square units)

$\frac{1}{2} \times \text{Base} \times \text{Height}$

$\frac{1}{2}(a+b)h$ where $a$, $b$ are parallel sides, $h$ is height

5 (2 triangular, 3 rectangular)

Find all faces, calculate each area, add together

Cross-section identical throughout length

Stacking identical cross-sections along length
