Relationships between sides & angles in right-angled triangles

$\frac{opposite}{hypotenuse}$

$\frac{adjacent}{hypotenuse}$

$\frac{opposite}{adjacent}$

Longest side, opposite the right angle

Side next to the angle (not the hypotenuse)

Side across from the angle you're working with

$\sin$=Opp/Hyp, $\cos$=Adj/Hyp, $\tan$=Opp/Adj

Find an angle from a ratio

Degree mode (look for 'D' symbol on display)
